Shepherd Compello supports Formula Woman
Motorsport insurance specialist Shepherd Compello is excited to announce that it will support Formula Woman, the televised motorsport competition that’s been devised to find the next female motor racing champions.
The competition, which was previously held in 2006, invites applicants to sign-up to a programme that after a series of online assessments, will see the successful candidates progress to the track. After putting them through their paces behind the wheel, the best drivers will go forward to the final that’s scheduled to be held in February 2022.
The competition is set to reveal two winners. Each will undergo extensive training and coaching before being presented with the opportunity to drive a McLaren GT4 race car and compete in the UK GT Cup Championship during the 2022 season.
Shepherd Compello has recognised the importance of supporting diversity in motorsport and sees Formula Woman as a great opportunity to help the contestants on their adventure through the competition - and beyond.
Holly Shepherd, Managing Director of Shepherd Compello said: “The Formula Woman competition is the perfect fit for Shepherd Compello as it combines our motorsport insurance expertise with our commitment to promoting diversity in all industries.
“Shepherd Compello is a proud signatory of the Women in Finance Charter and an award-winning firm for our work in diversity and inclusion in the insurance sector. We are delighted to have the opportunity to promote women’s involvement in motorsport through this new partnership with Formula Woman.”
Graeme Glew, Founder of Formula Woman commented: “One of the essential elements of a motorsport campaign is insurance and Shepherd Compello was on our preferred-partner wish-list right from the start.
“We are delighted the company has joined us for this exciting project to find the next female motorsport champions. We’re looking forward to working with the Shepherd Compello team in the coming months as we build up to the start of the programme in September before progressing through the various stages of the competition and announcing the two worthy winners in February.”
