Enhanced high-risk travel and Covid cover for individuals and groups
Shepherd Compello Motorsport Insurance is pleased to announce that it is now able to offer enhanced travel insurance cover for UK-domiciled individuals, families, businesses, corporate groups and their staff who engage in high-risk pursuits - including track days - when on holiday or travelling and operating in the paddock at overseas events.
This extension to its already comprehensive range of bespoke personal accident products is designed to provide wider cover and consequently, increased peace of mind. Options include: medical repatriation and expenses, personal accident benefit, flight and ferry cancellation reimbursement, loss of equipment, baggage and money.
In addition, this enhanced scheme covers not being able to travel due to a positive COVID-19 test. This also applies if the virus is contracted when overseas and covers the implications of a disrupted return trip.
“We are always pleased to find ways of providing new and enhanced cover with options that can be tailored to suit our client’s specific needs - and our new extended policy options do just that”, explains Shepherd Compello Motorsport Senior Broker Mark Taylor.
“In these times of travel uncertainty, being able to access cover that relates to cancelled or disrupted arrangements due to COVID-19 is very relevant, especially if it involves teams and vehicle movements. By taking out this cover, we hope that our clients will feel more confident when making bookings, knowing that all is not lost if circumstances beyond their control intervene.”
The company points out that, while this enhanced travel scheme covers individuals for non-competitive pursuits, Shepherd Compello does still provide access to bespoke personal accident schemes for motorsport competitors from club through to professional level.
